UFC 196 Fight Card

So this coming Saturday is a big night for the fighting community. For two fighters they are fighting to keep and undefeated record. One of these fighters is male the other female. Holly Holm the female Bantamweight champion right now is scheduled to fight Meisha Tate final fight before the main event. The main event will be starring Connor McGregor the other undefeated fighter looking to keep his streak going. Is it sexist that the UFC has the male fight being the main event versus the females. There hasn't been much ruckus about this set up in the media, but since in this class I have become more aware to look for little things that could cause controversy. I know for a fact that everyone would have a problem if the McGregor fight wasn' t the main event. Is anyone in the wrong her should these female fighters be upset?

  1. In a way it is but i understand where UFC is coming from by doing this. The main event is a huge fight and i think they are tailoring the fight card to their viewers thinking that since McGregor vs Diaz is a title fight and these are two of the best fighters in they weight class more people are going to be amped up about this fight more than they are about the female fight. Its just the society we live in. Hetero patriarchy
