New York Times on Gender Wage Gap...

This week, The New York Times published an article about why there is still such a large gender wage gap.  The article states that women's annual earrings are still 20% below that of men.

The article discusses a study that was done by Cornell University...

They question this gap because of these new found statistics:
1) women are more educated then men
2) have nearly as much work experience as men
3) are just as likely to seek high paying jobs

The researchers found that women are going into the same fields (like HR) in large numbers and in these fields they are being payed less than men.

Read the article here: "As Women Take Over Male Dominated Fields, Pay Drops"

It seems that companies are getting around the notion "equal pay for equal work."
We need media producers, like the NYT, to publish pieces like this to bring light to a horrifying reality.
