Officer Slaps and Hits High School Student

On March 2nd a video of a Office hitting a high school student went viral online. With this video there has been grey area, some people are saying that they are not a hundred percent sure that the person being hit isn't a student. That is beside the point though the point that is being made in the media is that we are running into several incidents where we see officers are using the authority that they have negatively. Though we do not know the entire story and all the details the video captures actions that many teens and specifically black teens associate with police officers. These events happening are leading to distrust and fear of our justice system which is not something that we are working towards as a country we rather feel protected than scared. I hope that in the near future that we can eliminate these events in the media.
