The problem with David O. Russell

Amy Adams recently sat down with GQ magazine and explained how harsh the environment was on "American Hustle." She says, and according to the Sony leaks, that director David O. Russell was very hard to work with. Adams is quoted as saying "“I was really just devastated on set." Adams was mostly devastated because of how Russell treated others. Russell was apparently very angry on set, and cruelly treated those who worked with him. Sadly, this was not Russell's first time of lashing out. He appears to have a long history of it, and it makes you wonder why he's still employed. Russell is white and male, and those odds stack in his favor. His continual hiring, even after years of aggression, manifests the issue of sexism and lack of diversity in the industry.
