Personal Stereotyping Experience

This past weekend I was in an uber leaving downtown late at night. We all got in the car and we had a detour because the police were talking to some African-American males on the side of the street. The uber driver before even thinking of what was coming out of his mouth was, "Of course the black guys are in trouble with the cops." It is this stereotyping that needs to stop. It turned out the men needed help with their car and the police were just there to help.
