Model Against Lindsey Graham on the Cover of Sports Illustrated

Several weeks ago I posted about the fact that Lindsey Graham was to be the first plus size model featured in Sports Illustrated's swimsuit edition.  At the time, most media outlets confirmed that this was a great shift in the modeling industry and a smart move for the magazine.  However, surprisingly, some people disagree with the concept of featuring a plus size model on the cover...

Another model, Cheryl Teigs, says that featuring a Lindsey Graham, who is a size 16, on the cover promotes poor health.  She says that the oh so famous Dr. Oz thinks a healthy size waist for a female is 35''.  Teigs told CNN: "I don't like that we are talking about full-figured women, because it's glamorizing them."

The media has not covered this "side" to the story as full, but it is interesting to note that there is a debate in this seemingly positive body image progression.
