Kelly v. Trump: The GOP Debate

Last night yet another GOP debate, and although I couldn’t bear to watch the conservatives babble for very long, I was happy to see Megyn Kelly get a chance to swing at Donald Trump. He made statements about her recently, trying to say she was angry, emotional, and irrational because she “had blood coming out of her wherever”.

Sometimes it’s hard to tell anymore if we’re in a political campaign for president of the United States or in the prison scene from Silence of the Lambs. But I digress.

Megyn Kelly came out in a whirlwind of class and intellect, and just made Donald Trump look even worse in comparison to her. Having a woman like Megyn Kelly have a strong presence in political debates is good for women in politics, and I’d like to see even more women like her in positions of power in the media.

  1. I am appalled at what I have heard come out of Trump's mouth in regards to women, especially his attacks of Megyn Kelly. This man is running for president and has no problem bashing on the majority gender of the population. I think that it is disgraceful how he objectifies women, endorses stereotypes about women, and seems to have no respect for women. He is a father of daughters and has a wife, how can he not be more sensitive to these things?
