Taye Diggs is defending himself after his recent comments about his biracial son caused controversy. The 44-year old actor has been promoting his second book entitled "Mixed Me". During a press release Diggs said he would rather his son be identified as mixed race, opposed to black. He believed by calling biracial kids "black" causes a risk where you're disrespecting that one half of who you are. He offered an example that we classify President Obama as black, but really he is biracial. His comments didn't sit too well with the media where they were attacking all of his social sites. Taye Diggs appeared on The Steve Harvey Show earlier this month expressing how he still feels the same way of the situation where he wants his son to know and be comfortable with his racial identity.
