As many know, Donald Trump was the host of the apprentice for many years. It is where he did what he does best, run a business, not run a country. Many of the people who starred on the apprentice do not support Trump, and their personal accounts add credibility to what they say about him.
Some accounts include:
- He appeals "to the lowest common denominator of fear, racism and divisiveness in our populace." - Kwame Jackson
- "We acknowledge Donald's success as a businessman, and genuinely appreciate the opportunity 'The Apprentice' afforded all of us...We, however, strongly condemn Donald's campaign of sexism, xenophobia, racism, violence and hate." - Randal Pinkett
As we have talked about, Trump has represented many of the terms we have discussed in class, especially when it comes to stereotyping certain minorities. It is powerful that people who once, and still do, look up to him, are coming out and saying it how it actually is.
