All-Star threatens not to come to NC
About two years ago, the NBA All-Star committee voted that they will have the All-Star game in Charlotte, North Carolina for the year 2017. And after this announcement, there has been a buzz of excitment that has surged through the city ever since. The city has gone under heavy construction in order to prepare for the large group of people that the city will attract due to the huge event. However, after governor Pat McCrory issued the new statement making it okay for North Carolina to discriminate against the LGBTQ community. The NBA has threatened to remove the All-Star from the Queen city. If this happens not only will fellow citizens of Charlotte be upset, but business owners will be too. For this event is expected to attract millions of people to the Charlotte metro area. I will continue to follow this story closely, because the event is quickly approaching.
