Repercussions of the NC Bill 2

There are many issues and things to discuss with regard to the latest bill passed in North Carolina about transgender people and their use of public restrooms.  However, one thing that is particularly interesting to consider is how this Bill is effecting the economy.

Last week Bruce Springsteen cancelled his concert in Greensboro.  Now, the popular traveling acrobatic circus, Cirque du Soleil, has announced they are canceling their summer shows in Greensboro, Raleigh, and Charlotte.

Though I'm sure many people are upset that these shows, and likely, others, will not be coming to North Carolina because of the Bill it is reassuring to know that by and large most people agree the bill is an absurd breach of human rights.

The media has been covering this story well and often - also, in favor of the transgender community.  I suppose there is some silver lining in all of this.
