Recently, one of Bernie Sanders supporters used the term "corporate Democratic whores." This comment is extremely misogynistic and sexist. In using the phrase "corporate Democratic whore," the Sanders supporter was presumably speaking about Sanders opponent, Hillary Clinton. Using that sort of language about a female candidate promotes a culture of misogyny and male dominance. Sanders said of the comment that "there is no room for language like that in our political discourse." I am glad that Sanders spoke out against the comment, and I hope that he continues to push for a political landscape that is equal for all.
