A man with his children at Wake Forest Baptist were verbally and physically attacked by a woman who is labeled as a volunteer at the hospital. The woman allegedly called the man the N word multiple times and told him to "get his black kids out of here". The man grabbed his tablet and started videotaping her rant, where she screams over and over at the camera until security is called.
This brings attention to racism that still exists in society and within institutions such as hospitals like this one. It is firstly concerning that people behave this way, and secondly that this woman was hired to be representative of Wake Forest Baptist. It brings light to issues that people of color still face when, for example, going to a simple appointment at a hospital. It also demonstrates to me that the hiring is not taken seriously with concern of treating everyone equally regardless of race (gender, sexual orientation, etc.).

"Isaiah, we deeply regret and apologize for this behavior demonstrated by our volunteer in this video. We are dedicated to providing an inclusive environment for all, with respect, dignity and compassion. We are taking action and this individual is no longer a volunteer with our organization. If they haven’t already, one of our senior executives should be reaching out to you shortly. Again, we apologize for this appalling incident."
