Bomani Jones

Yesterday morning Bomani Jones filled in for one of the Mikes on ESPN's Mike & Mike wearing a "Caucasians" shirt. The shirt featured a parody of the Cleveland Indians' Chief Wahoo logo. Jones dedicated airtime to the shirt, which his idea was to dominate the social media conversation. Jones said he wore it because it would be weird to have Caucasians as a sports mascot, so why does sports teams where Indians? The owner of the Chief Wahoo logo says he's going to de-emphasize it, but the logo is still making exceptional profits. In class we have discussed this topic about how Native Americans have continuously had their race slandered across the media and television outlets.
