Like every other industry in the US, fashion has shown its diversity issue when it comes to nude coloration. Christian Louboutin tries to change the scene by introducing a more accurate depiction of the color in real life as opposed to just beige. This market has been driven by white supremacy because whites design and model, dominating the scene in setting trends (graphs below). Addressing this point is one way of recognizing women of color. Valentino and Balenciaga are examples of why this issue is pervasive, casting of only white women for a show, albeit one being African themed.
