
New Tweet from KFC shows that they really buy into the belief that "sex sells," but not today. KFC posted an ad on Twitter for their "hot and spicy" wings which comes close to pornography. You can check it out on this link. What is good is that most people didn't stand for it, saying that it was inappropriate and sexist, and the ad was taken down within an hour. And though KFC did apologize and made a statement about how they didn't know it would be taken so poorly, maybe this incident will set an example for other corporations that this sort of sexist imagery is not okay. Classic too many gross dudes running your advertising department.
Really demonstrates how the elite class controls the images we see on all media platforms.
ReplyDeleteI agree with Lexi that it shows who is really in control. I think that its terrible that now food companies are using close to pornography just to sell a product.
