Just a few weeks ago the Buffalo Bills football organization signed their first female coach. This is a huge step with working to create more gender diversity in the NFL. For decades a women has never been hands on working directly with the game of football at such a high level. Females involvement in the game of football in the past have been sideline reporters, cheerleaders, and dancers but never directly with the game. I am interested to how sports media now will cover the NFL coaching conversation because it is no longer made up of only males. Will this first hire create more coaching jobs for women or will this be a way to try to show gender differences and make examples of what industries certain genders do and don't belong in.
