Kendrick Lamar's Grammy Performance
Yesterday at the Grammy's, Kendrick Lamar did a performance which was incredible and memorable not because of its hip hop, but because of its racial, cultural and political message, which included free styling about Trayvon Martin and raising awareness for several issues that have impacted the black community. He used many different symbols such as using an outline of Africa with word "Compton" written over it. This comes only a week after Beyonce's superbowl performance in which she performed her new song "Formation" which also involves the black community and issues within America. Together its beginning to look like a Revolution for blacks across the country and no one better to give a community a voice than the grammy winner himself. What other celebrity will be next to help push this movement?
