Miami Police Boycotts Beyonce

After much discussion and controversy regarding Beyonce's latest music video release for her song "Formation," the Fraternal Order of Police has vowed to boycott working security at her concert in Miami in April. Members of the FOP chapter in Miami confirmed their official boycott of her upcoming concert tour. The local union president has called on all police officers in the United States to boycott her upcoming concerts on this tour. Javier Ortiz is the president of this FOP chapter and has released that "she used this year's Super Bowl to divide Americans by promoting the Black Panthers and her anti-police message." This statement by Ortiz follows the attack that Rudy Giuliani made against Beyonce on Fox News after her performance. I found this to be very interesting and am curious to see if this will have marked the beginning of a trend in police security for not only Beyonce's future concerts, but other artists as well.
