Yorma vs. Rose Love and Hip Hop Girl Fight
On this week's episode of VH1's Love and Hip New York, Latina cast members, Yorma (along with her sister) and Rose (with her co-worker) got into a confrontation because of DJ Self. This was a prime example of how minority women are perceived on reality television. Often times, Latina women are portrayed as quick-tempered, easily angered, and ready to fight. Typical of reality shows, the incident was all caused by the pursuit of a successful male cast member by both women.

I was watching the show with one of my roommates, and when this incident occurred he said "There goes them Spanish women.... you know them Spanish women crazy, I don't know why he even tried to play her like that." this was in reference to DJ Self cheating on his girlfriend. Him saying this made me think about where do we get the notion of Latina women being quick tempered, easily angered and things of that nature when we haven't experienced being in a relationship or friendship with that person. Its all what we see on social media and reality tv shows such as Love and Hip Hop
