For the past 3 months, there has been speculation over whether or not Odell Beckham Jr. is gay. Odell Beckham Jr. is a star wide receiver for the New York Giants and the upcoming face of the NFL. Even though a man's sexual preference has nothing to do with playing football, OBJ is always in the center of the media. This is because football is seen as a manly sport and if someone as OBJ stature is gay, then the NFL would be looked at differently by many of its viewers. This is a prime example of when something goes against the social norms, it becomes a big issue in society.
