Influence or Ignorance

As recent videos have surfaced of young boys portraying and imitating their favorite rap superstars, the media questioned whether or not we showed allow children to be apart of a cultural game. Lil Poopy (pictured below) was arrested in 2013 by Massachusetts police on accounts of child neglect. Is it the parents fault, that the children rap about what they see around them every day or what they see their idols show as important to be "popular". Also, is the media playing up the childish videos too much. Maybe the children are just expressing their feelings through their music. Just think there are many child stars who started young, Justin Beiber, Lil Wayne and Michael Jackson.

  1. I think it should be the parents fault because I don't think rappers make music for nine year olds and parents should know what their kids are watching and listening too.

  2. As a rap artist, I believe this 'rap life' that these kids are living is not conducive to the morals a child should be growing around and imitating.
