"Final Oregon Refuge Occupier Turns Himself In"

At first glance, this story from FoxNews doesn't look like it appeals to the RGM class. However, if you look at how Fox News framed this man who committed a crime, it totally does. When we look at how the media has covered the deaths of black and brown bodies, they typically label them as "thug" or perpetuate this stereotype of black violence. The Oregon men were a hostile group who took over an area, breaking the law, and yet only one died. How the media framed this shows the heteronormativity and white privilege that exists in that community and beyond.
