Feminists not happy with Kanye West
Kanye West just released his album yesterday, The Life of Pablo,in NYC. His song, Famous, contains the line, " I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex/ I made that bitch famous". Taylor Swift and her brother are not amused but many feminists are apparently not happy with Kanye and his recent disrespect towards women. Ruby Rose posted on twitter : "Too many lines crossed. If I put myself in the shoes of the women he has hurt recently. Victims of Bill Cosby, The slut shaming, amber.. and now my dear friend Taylor...Right before another huge moment for her... Can I still support her and call myself a feminist? No." What do you guys think of Ruby's thinking? Has Kanye gone too far? Can you support Kanye and still be a feminist?

In my opinion Kanye West is just sharing his evil genius with the world. he is entitled to release anything he wants to the public. it is absolutely wrong to call women out her name but to call only Kanye out for it is unfair because many other people are doing it around him.
ReplyDeleteI think that Kayne just like many artist say things that they don't really mean in songs but will catch peoples attention. Does he cross lines a lot of the time yes but he's creating art that gets major attention, this doesn't show that he feels this way deep down inside but he knows controversy sells so that is what he does.
